How to repair tear in thin rubber?
I recently bought a russian gas mask to use as a photography prop for university but it was too small for me, and by wearing it I’ve split the back. The split is about 4 inches long, it is a clean split and no rubber has broken away.
Ideally Id like to use a method of repairing that would allow me to wear the gas mask for short periods of time without damaging it if possible, it’s not necessary for it to actually work as a gas mask.
Ive looked on the internet but can’t find anything, Im stumped! :[

First you will need a length of rubber (old innertube) to use as a patch.
Then use Rubber Cement , or any adhesive used to repair innertubes.
Put the patch on the underside.
