Photography Props Mirrors
what can i use to be a mirror as a prop?
I have a beautiful frame and i want to use it as a prop but a real mirror will show my photography equipment any idea?
Just glass then? So it’s a mirror with a wonderful frame that you want to use? In photography it will be placement of the mirror that is really important, you have to think about that. If I were doing it I would make sure: 1) the mirror’s reflection was important and 2) if the reflection wasn’t important, then there’s nothing important or revealing in it.
One of my classmates used a mirror for her project with pregnancy and the reflection of the woman held the meaning but the surroundings had nothing to them. In another classmate’s project the mirror was just a prop but she didn’t pay attention to the reflection enough and there was miscellaneous objects in there that we thought meant something when it didn’t. If you’re just trying to get the frame, period, use glass with white paper behind it or make sure you use an angle and make sure the reflection is just a white space or something. Mirrors are tricky.
