You Can Make These Photography Props
I love using photography props in all my shots!
I’m into photography hardcore. I hope others will share their experiences here also. I often take photos of myself (as I have no other models) in dramatic clothing, makeup, contact lenses, fangs, in different scenes (making me look I’m extremly world traveled . . lol ) and with different props. But sometimes photography props can turn into a disaster!
Last night I did a vampire shoot and I used theatrical blood on my mouth and hands.
My teeth were stained, but I used baking soda to fix that.
But, my hands and mouth are stained very badly.
I look like a burn victim. -_-
I’ve tried make-up remover, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, and vinegar and nothing I’ve tried has been able to get the stains out.
I was told to try Commit, but I really don’t want to put that stuff on my face.
I then had a date with my boyfriend, a girl friend, and my friend’s boyfriend and I didn’t want to go into public looking this way.
I hope those pictures were worth it! So I then tried using baby oil to remove as much as it will, then tried dabbing hydrogen peroxide on the stained areas. It moisturized the skin and I don’t believe I’ll do that again! I’m sure we learn from our mistakes.
I just removed Easter egg dye from my hands, using bleach. It’s pretty harsh but it works. People might want to use that as a last resort. If you do, be prepared to wash it off immediately after stain removal, then moisturize the area. Be kind to your skin.
